Exchange project first meeting reflection

We did the first online meeting last Tuesday. I think that it was a great online meeting for me. It is because I can chat with Spanish people. Paula and Christina are very nice and cute.

First, we had a short self-introduction of ourselves. Such as our name and hobbies. I can know that Paula love to play football so much and she will also watch football match. Football may not be so much famous in Taiwan, but it is quite popular in Spain. They always play football, it is different from Taiwan that it is not a popular sport in here. So that, I can feel this cultural difference.

Then, we had chatted for something about our school, such as what major are we studying at. We told them we are studying foreign language and we had also taught them some Chinese. They had also taught us some Spanish for some words. I think it is quite difficult to speak Spanish.

After that, we had also talked about something in our own countries. The most interesting part is that we talked about the delicious food or drink in our own countries. They know the bubble tea in Taiwan and they want to try! And they also introduced some dishes in Spanish and I want to try them if I have chance to travel to Spain. They look so tasty haka.

I think that the first online meeting is very great. Although there are some problems, such as the network is not very well so we cannot hear what they say very clearly, it has a little bit hard for listening or communication. Also, I found that they have a quite strong accent, I feel confused at the opening because it is not easy to listen to the strong accent, maybe it is difficult to hear some words in that accent. But we can still finish our online chatting very well and we can know more about Taiwan and Spain. I am hoping for the second time chat with them.
