What if Chinese becomes the global language?
If Chinese becomes the global language, I think there will be advantages
and disadvantages.
First, for the advantages, I think it will be good for the Chinese
native speaker. Just like me for an example, I am also a Chinese native speaker,
I will feel comfortable if Chinese becomes the global language, that is mean
there will be more people know how to speak Chinese. So that, I can use Chinese
to communicate in more countries. Besides, I think that it will be quite convenient
for the Chinese native speaker, it is because there may be some people don’t know
English very well, they cannot have communication in the countries with English
language, so it will be comfortable for them.
Second, for the disadvantages, I think that Chinese becomes the global language
will affect so many people, such as American or British or more. They speak
English and most of them cannot read Chinese or speak any Chinese. Chinese is
the most difficult language to learn in the world. We are the Chinese native
speakers, so we will not think that difficult, but it is also not easy for
them. There are so many Chinese words, and cannot remember easily, especially
for the non-Chinese native speakers. This is a big challenge for them. And they
need to learn Chinese is not a very possible way.
Therefore, I think that it will be better for the global language is
English. Most Chinese speakers can read or speak a little bit English nowadays.
And English has been the global language for a long time, so I think that it is
not necessary to change Chinese to the global language.
From your article I can learn the advantages and disadvantages about if Chinese becomes the global language. for me it is become convince, but I still think English is better than Chinese.
